Hi my name is Sergio Leon and I am in 8th grade. First, what i am going to talk about is my best moments in capitol school. My best moments where when i was in the soccer team. We made it to the finals with the soccer team but we lost in penalty kicks. Then football season arrived and I tried out and made it. It was a horrible season because we lost every game. Then basketball season came. I was part of the team and Mr.Felton and the team was happy because we won three games in a row. I want to tell you guys that i am proud of being a mexican!!!. My best friend is Andres Romero Machado aka (chino). My best teacher was Mr.Felton because he is sooooo cool whit me!!!!!!!! I like him alot because he started talking to since i was new in this school and other teachers didn't act like that whit me. Finally, I want to say thanks to all my amigos =)

one of the cool things we got to do with our teachers is make bird houses .that was cool like we got to paint them how ever we want and be all artistic and stuff.alot of things were pland this year for the 8th grade like our graduation ,water tripe,dances,and the bird house project.right now we only got to the bird house project but i think all the other things will be awesome.

Birdhouse Builders!

The 8th graders completed their Birdhouse Building project and are ready to show off their work! 16 of these beautiful houses will hang in our center courtyard as part of the Garden Renovation Project that will take place on April 22 with Home Depot. Mr. Roper

My name is Zachary Roper and I was the Math Teacher for the Middle School. I saw more than 100 students every day for Math class and had lots of fun coaching Softball with Mr. Heisel, leading the Travel Club, and helping plan the new garden areas with the 8th graders. One of my favorite projects this year was when we planned and built wooden birdhouses. My Dad came down to the school and helped the students cut and drill their pieces and then we all painted our houses. They were very colorful and showed how artistic our students can be!



We faced a lot of challenges this year, but I hope that my students learned to BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES and never give up. I know they will face many new things in High School, but they are ready for whatever life throws at them.

OK, i got to admit that football was fun. the memory that i will remember the most is when we were messing around with the collage couches. AJ gave us nicknames. the other time i will remember is when we started calling Anthony Negative Nancy.

Heyy my name is Sergio Leon and first came to Capitol in January. When I first came here, I thought that I wasn't going to make friends like I did at my other school.The first person that I met at Capitol was Herman. He was a weird kid because he always said that I was cute. He was a funny kid but he was cool to be around but he always got in-trouble. The second person I met was Magaly. She started to talk to me in Mr. Heisel's class when I sat next to her. She told me all the names of every student in our class but I really didn't remember any of their names until a week later. This year was a better year than at my other school because at my other school because at my other school I had failing grades and here I have passing grades. This year I've learned alot and the teachers are awesome. Mr.Heisel taught me how to like reading class and even thought it sounds weird I like reading books now. Mr. Crosiers class was kool because I never failed in his class. Social Studies is the best subject in the whole middle school!!!!Mr. Jantz's class was kool because we got to do stuff I've never done. I learned lots in his class!!!!Now, Mr. Roper, he was the best math teacher I've had in years. He taught me some really good strategies to doing some math and from there I've been doing great!!!!Roper Rockz!!!!I've also had some relly good friends her a t Capitol. Reyna was a really good friend. I've only met her for about three weeks and I feel like I've known her forever. She has a good personality and she's really funny:)Another good friend that I met was Aaron. I've known him since I was at my other school. He's a really funny person that makes me laugh all the time. Noel is another funny person that makes me laugh all the time. Everything that comes out of his mouth has to be something funny. He just doesn't make me laugh, he makes the whole class laugh. Edwin and Jando are other good friends. They make me laugh the most, especially Jando.

Capitol School Student Council

Capitol School Student Council is a club every Wednesday for the 7th and 8th grade organized by Mr.Crosier. Baisiclly we handle planning for Dances,Field Trips, and Money and we decide where the money gose.The main people are:

Mike M. -Vice President:Its Been a Great Experince at capitol even tho ive been here for only a few month iits cool that i got Vice President... lolz it wuz cool

This years basketball team was great even though we didnt win, we went 3 games undefeated untill some of our players decided to get into trouble and it really effected the team. The position i played was small forward. I got mvp in all games and led the team in scoring for 5 games and i was one of the captains along with alejandro rodriguez one of our best defensive player and sergio the best defensive player and me well i was good at offense and defense because of my height.One of the biggest challenges during the basketball season was to control my temper because i get mad really fast but i learned how to control it and it helped me play better for the rest of the season. The basketball team almost got in some fights but nothing serious. we had an awesome basketball season thats all i got to say haha later

Cougars Law Club (Government Club) was created in order to teach students about the law and help them in possible future careers. This is some of the opinions of the participants in law club.

Ryan S- Law club was one of the coolest things i have done this year. Mr. Crosier is a awsome teacher who has a lot of fun ideas and almost all of the studnts love him. I know i do and i will miss all of my teachers but mr. crosier is ithe the top 2.
